The project proposes a boxing gym in Nine Elms, addressing the complex issue of class discrimination through a multi-dimensional programme. The programme centres around a communal boxing gym enriched with a social space and a physiotherapy clinic to address the high injury rate of the intensive combat sport.
Recently, Nine Elms has been scrutinised heavily due to the discrimination surrounding access to the Sky Pool, a 25-metre-long transparent swimming pool suspended between two 10-storey towers. The statement engineering masterpiece is exclusively only for residents of the luxury housing development, Embassy Gardens. The residents of the affordable housing of EG development are barred from accessing the pool even if they are willing to pay for entry.
The rich railway history of Nine Elms acts as the primary design drive of the project, deriving the arch as the centrepiece of the architecture through a modular façade.

An intermediate outdoor space that forms the backdrop of the corridor. This links the gym and the rest of the building, showcasing the most important fragment of the design - the arches.
Multiple levels are layered differently to satisfy the spatial requirement. This creates a striking entrance through stark vertical openness.
